Dippy Dino Illustration

I was asked to draw a cute dinosaur – specifically a Diplodocus. Using a few circles & ovals, it is fairly easy to create the general shape. But to produce the shape as a tattoo stencil requires a little modification. The eyes are always the hardest thing to convey. As a stencil, small details are […]

More funky drawings

I’m very lucky to be paid to draw stuff. Today my client wanted a few boyish stencils, so I gave them some action / sporty drawings that may appeal to young blokes. All stencil drawings need to be extremely simplified… no fine details can be seen in the finished article, so you have to make […]

My view of SEO

More & more clients are asking for SEO services & what can be done with SEO… or what is SEO? I believe that everybody should be able to improve their own website SEO (search engine optimisation), by adopting good copy-writing & using social media. And it is far more effective when a business owner makes […]

Why use Cloud Software?

Drawing a stencil using Illustrator

One of my jobs is to create original illustrations for a tattoo stencil company. They usually give me a basic design brief – perhaps producing a range of Christmas designs, or Hen Party designs… I then produce a few drawings, the best of which are then used as products on their website. I use Adobe […]

Circus Illustrations

A few more illustrations! After a few requests for a clown illustration, I was asked to produce a few circus themed drawings. Not that I am a fan of a circus… this is just my interpretation of circus stuff. Including my updated circus elephant drawing, which I will post ASAP

Flower Illustrations

A few flower illustrations, designed to be glitter tattoo stencils. As most tattoo stencils are pretty small, these illustrations needed to be quite chunky – with no overlapping parts, as they are cut from vinyl material. There are also no sharp corners, which helps with the vinyl cutting.
