SK Aesthetics Logo & Web Design

Simple logo design project for SK Aesthetics, using a single colour vector shape to maximise the readability and marketing applications. Shown here in the design process, supplying a range of strong / pastel colour options to the client, using CMYK colours to ensure the logo design is suitable for any printing projects or digital graphics.

Creating the Brand

I often prefer to simplify a logo design as much as possible, to allow the logo to be used across all possible avenues in the future. If the customer wanted to get the logo printed using vinyl, or used on small products, the logo will be visible and readable in large / small format.

Initially, the style has to be agreed. In this case I chose a bold seriffed font for the SK lettering, and a narrow sans-seriffed font for the “Aesthetics” lettering below, to maximise the space. I then added a slight cross-over for the SK lettering, adding a generous stroke the lettering to show a clear outline. The main goal was to create a brand identity that worked for a social media profile image and a website.

Logo Applications

Alongside the website & social media graphics, I used this logo design for a number of posters, leaflets and banners. The black colour was chosen by the customer, which meant I used a strong / rich black for all printed items. RGB black is suitable for the digital graphics, creating a nice black & white theme for the website which conveys an elegant feel.

WordPress Web Design

The main goal of creating the SK Aesthetics brand was always to use on a web design. And the website design had to be considered before designing the logo, so the logo would fit nicely whether viewed on a desktop, laptop, tablet or phone. I already had a clear vision of the web design, using a black & white theme, and the square proportioned logo.

Simplicity rules!

After managing numerous websites over long periods of time, you eventually realise that simplicity gets more customers. The minimalistic layout used for the SK Aesthetics web design has always performed well for previous clients, consistently achieving multiple enquiries each week.
