Industry Experience
Professional Graphics Creation
My early career was spent learning how to prepare graphics for all kinds of printing techniques, seeing the results first hand when graphic file types or colour profiles or resolution was prepared incorrectly. So when I create graphics today, I don’t even need to see it get printed, I already know it will print correctly.
At the same time, I have been creating websites and digital graphics throughout my career, understanding the differences in digital artwork creation to achieve the best results. Knowing which graphic file type to use for a specific medium is important for quick loading times and in turn, good SEO.
Graphic Design Philosophy
This technical approach in graphics creation affects the way I design things. For example, when I design a logo for a company, I will take all aspects of digital and print production into account, and make my logo design completely compatible for all possible uses.
When I design anything, digital or print, I will of course listen to the client and produce what they want, but I will always try to explain the benefits of a minimalistic, simple approach. Not only for my style preferences, but also to ensure total compatibility for all future applications.
