JM Drainage Solutions required a simple logo design & web design project. I decided to build the website using pure HTML and CSS, without using any website builder platforms, to keep the website as simple, quick loading & secure as possible.
The Web Design
I built this website using the old fashioned techniques… using pure HTML an CSS, without any PHP or sever-side scripts to make the website immune to hacking. Because the client wanted a simple, single page website, I decided that the old fashioned approach would be more effective. Being able to control every single pixel & line of code makes a website truly unique, which is a benefit for SEO.
Privacy benefits
The other benefit of a pure HTML / CSS website is that it requires absolutely zero cookies. So there are no grey areas in terms of privacy. This website simply presents the information, and displays a telephone link for interested customers. It’s an old fashioned contact method, but highly effective!
The Logo Design
The logo is intentionally simple, as the client asked for something similar to the “everyday tradesman” style. The important thing was to make it easily adaptable for print, signage and digital use… even as a badge on their clothing. Which is why I chose a single colour, with bold shapes & fonts.
