Medi Dx Supply is a new medical / clinical company that provide blood diagnostic supplies, specialising in blood glucose monitoring systems. They required a professional logo design, branding project and e-commerce web design to launch their online business and promote their products.

The Logo Design

They had no real instructions for the logo design, they simply asked me to come up with some ideas, and they were delighted with the first attempt! After looking at numerous medical style logos, I came up with the plus / cross sign icon, which is often seen in medical signs and graphics, tweaking it to break up the cross to produce the arrow shape, which can convey the “supplies” aspect of the business.

The Web Design

I tried to create a simple, clean website using a few nice stock photos, taking the colour scheme from the logo design. As with any new web design launch, I aimed to generate a decent amount of original text content, to give them a good chance of being highly ranked from the outset. We created a blog section, along with well written content throughout. But we understand that the blog needs to be regularly updated to give them good SEO.

E-Commerce

They initially had three main products, with a number of accessories to go with each product. I tried to make their main products highly visible throughout the website, and the accessories less visible, yet easily found. I also added a mobile friendly cart system that sits in the bottom right corner of the screen at all times, which should make it easier for visitors to navigate through the website and go to the checkout immediately, at any chosen time.
